On the Back Porch of Mount Locust near Natchez, Mississippi
On yesterday we took a drive up to Natchez, Mississippi and from there go on the Natchez Trace Parkway to explore the Trace, something we’d never done before despite its relative proximity to where we live.
The Natchez Trace Parkway runs for about 444 miles through Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee and we only took in the first 30 miles and for the most part made a day of it. Pictured here today is a capture I picked up on the back porch of Mount Locust. Mount Locust was a working plantation as well as an inn along the Natchez Trace in its heyday. For some reason this hat and canteen hanging on the back porch along with several other era items nearby caught my attention for some reason and this image was the first I post-processed. There will be more but I was simply exhausted after a full weekend in the heat and humidity.
This image was slightly cropped and as you can see underwent extensive post-processing to bring out maximum detail using LucisArt 3, virtualPhotographer and Noiseware Pro in Photoshop.
